The Highest Peak of Indonesia

Indonesia is one of the countries located in the continent of Asia, more precisely located in southeast asia. Indonesia is one of the most famous tourist destinations in several countries such as Sumatra, Kalimantan, Java, Sulawesi and Papua.

Sumatra has a tourist attraction that is not less beautiful with other countries, such as Mount Kerinci which is the highest peak in Sumatra is in Jambi Province. Having a height of about 3,800m, Mount Kerinci is also the highest volcano in Indonesia which is the habitat of Sumatran Tiger and Sumatran Rhino.

Kalimantan is the third largest island in the world, the highest peak in Borneo, Mount Kinabalu, the highest mountain in Borneo and the fifth highest mountain in Southeast Asia, lies on the border between Malaysia's Sabah city and North Borneo, a mountain of about 4.094m.

Java is the 13th largest island in the world with a very large population, the capital city of Indonesia is also located in Java, Jakarta. The highest peak on Java island that is on Mount Semeru. Mount Semeru is a cone volcano located in Malang and Lumajang districts, East Java. The third highest volcano in Indonesia which has a height of about 3.676m.

Sulawesi is the 11th largest island in the world, the highest peak on Sulawesi is Mount Latimojong which has the peak name Rante Mario, a mountain in the middle of South Sulawesi precisely in Enrekang with an altitude of about 3,478m.

Papua is the largest island in Indonesia and ranks second for the largest island in the world. The highest peak in Indonesia and also in Oceania which has a height of about 4.884m, namely Mount Jaya or often called Cartensz Pyramid. This mountain is also included in the seven summit, the highest peak of every continent in the world.
